Guests always appreciate our employees’ recommendations, and below you can find out their favorite off the strip activities. So when you get tired of the crowds on your next visit, check out some of these great places!

Snowboarding and skiing at the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is great. It’s about forty minutes from the Strip. They also have disk golf during the summer, and the Bloody Marys are awesome!!!!

Goldstrike Hotsprings

Hiking at Goldstrike Hot Springs by the Hoover Dam is awesome! It’s an absolutely amazing hike, you get to swim in the hot springs, and also the lake! Once you’re at the lake, you have a great view of the bridge, and the Hoover Dam itself. Great activity to do with friends, family, or just yourself!

Bonnie Springs

A great activity is Bonnie Springs. It is an older western town out by Blue Diamond City about 45 minutes away from the Strip. It used to be a rest town on the way to California. They have a comedy show, a petting zoo with a lot of cool animals that wander around the grounds and an awesome little restaurant. Around Halloween they turn everything into haunted houses and offer paranormal tours as well!

Mount Charleston

Mount Charleston is approximately 60 minutes away from Las Vegas and you are out of the desert. When you enter the forest you definitely feel like you are OUT of Las Vegas. It is a great place to go camping and spend a weekend away from the city. My favorite part is in the middle of summer while we have consistent 115 degree weather, it is an instant 20 to 25 degree drop in temperature and you need a jacket at night. It houses numerous trails for hiking and is a fantastic place to spend a day or more.

Lake Mead Cruises

Lake Mead Cruises is great activity in Boulder City! They offer a beautiful dinner cruise on the lake, complete with appetizers, dessert and wine! Their cruises of the lake get as close as you can legally get to the Hoover Dam wall, which you can enjoy from the inside or the outside of the boat on the upper deck. After dinner, you get to enjoy wine while watching the sunset on the Lake. Such a serene experience!

In addition to these great activities, check out the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Located just 169 miles from the strip (as the bird flies), this is a must see attraction if you are visiting Las Vegas, and is most spectacular when seen from the air. In fact, many of our guests share that this is the best thing that they experienced while in Vegas! Here is what some of them have to say about seeing the Grand Canyon with Serenity Helicopters:

“We would highly recommend this amazing adventure. In fact, I would make you do it, if I could! It was the best part of our Vegas trip! The only way to see the depths of the Grand Canyon. It really just felt like we were floating over the sights. It was truly a spectacular flight!!” – Lindsay F

“Cross one off on the bucket list with this amazing helicopter tour. Serenity Helicopters provide a first class experience. The view entering the canyon is just plain awesome! I would do this again, easily the best money spent in Vegas with incredible value!” – SirForce

“Amazing experience! Our pilot’s (Mike “Mad Dog” Davis) commentary, insight and music mix was as colorful as the canyon. Professional and courteous from pick-up to drop off. Best dollars spend in Vegas and would highly recommend this company.” – banjoman123

“Had the best experience from start to finish! Definitely the best experience of my trip to Vegas! The trip included a scenic flight from the airport to the Canyon, which included Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, a dormant volcano and some other pretty sites! We then flew over the Canyon and also through it! We then landed and had breakfast inside the canyon, and then flew back to the airport. I would recommend this company to anyone! Thank you Serenity and Mike for the best day ever. ” – gkance95
